Pastor

The Rev. Thomas Smith serves as our pastor.  After graduating from Wofford College and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, Thomas served churches in the Abbeville area and in Camden.  Thomas was appointed to New Beginnings in June of 2008.  He is committed to New Beginnings meeting the physical and spiritual needs of its neighbors.  Thomas and his wife Ellen have two children, Harper and Kirksey.  In his free time Thomas enjoys hiking, fishing, sports, reading, and being with his family.  You can contact Thomas at (864) 599-1303 or at thomas.nbumc@gmail.com.
